[Ramblings] Who is you?!

No, the title isn’t a mistake. I purposefully typed it out that way. Because sometimes, you just gotta ask “Who is you?!” with the o_O face.

The above image has really become my favorite meme since I’d found it sometime a couple of years ago. But tonight as I looked through my Instagram feed, I found a post I wanted to apply it to. And because of that rant inside my head, I was inspired to write this post.

(Shame that you can’t post images in the comments on IG, because I would’ve posted this there!)

Happy birthday Michael Jackson!!

Apologies that this post is a little late in the day, but I really wanted to get one posted despite all the busy work I had earlier today. I was going to make a Brian McKnight post, and then realized what today is; Michael Jackson was born on this day in 1958. I know my friend Billie has been BLASTING MJ all day– she’s his biggest fan.

I’ve been sitting here trying to figure out my favorite MJ song, and I don’t really think I have one. I mean, I love this song, and Smooth Criminal, and Thriller, and Human Nature… So I guess it’s safe to say that I pretty much almost all of his songs then. Funny thing, I don’t have any of his vinyls… So that’s another thing I’ve gotta add to the list of “Stuff I wanna buy”.

(I’ve got so many lists in my phone it’s ridic but that’s another post).

New job starts in a week, my mom is getting adjusted to London and my nephew was born a few days ago! So simcha all around! Gonna pop out to visit him now, so until next post!

#musicMonday ~ Ludacris

I haven’t been here in a while– been very busy with my day job, finding a new job, and battling a summer cold. I’m taking a different allergy medication and it’s helping my asthma, so I’m happy to have my voice back. I’ve got some voice over stuff I’ve gotta get back to.

Anyways, I haven’t heard this song in a minute so enjoy!

Typewriter

Hey everyone!

On twitter, a writer friend (@CalvinStarnesOG) had started to promote #gooddeedfriday, in which he would promote tweets and connect people however he could who were trying to get a foot into the Hollywood industry*. He’s retweeted a few of my tweets seeking editing clients and I’d like to pay it forward as well.

Hop on over to twitter and send me a tweet (@murjanian) that you’d like me to RT for you today. Not that I wouldn’t do it any other day during the week, but I’d like to help spread this [hashtag] idea.

*Disclaimer: He will NOT read scripts.

Brr!! It’s awfully cold outside to be spring. Earlier today, I did a podcast interview that I’m hoping will be posted by the end of this weekend for you guys to enjoy. Also been dreaming up some logos for my blog… not too sure what to go with though.

I’ve so much to start and continue writing, but I do owe my publisher a couple of chapters, so I know what I’ll be working on this week. This story is for a murder mystery novel, which are my favorite stories to read.

I love researching stuff and I love cold cases. I shoulda just been a detective.

Whilst I get back to my writing, enjoy this blog entry from Chuck Wendig on tiny houses. Hilarious! Open Letter to Tiny Houses

#musicMonday ~ The Fugees

Man I miss The Fugees. They had a presence and chemistry that very few groups nowadays can match.

My week was infused with some goodness right at the very beginning. Yesterday I’d received news that I’m going to be an aunt! I’m super excited to meet my nephew later this year, and I actually got some writing done yesterday as well. I’ve been playing with the idea of writing a tv pilot, so I mapped out some notes and the beginnings of an outline. We’ll see how it goes.

In pressing news, I’ve got a semi-deadline from my publisher on my newest chapter of my novel, so I hope I don’t disappoint. I’ve got to make sure I set aside some days to write it out. Hope your week is infused with some creative goodness!

#musicMonday ~ Raphael Saadiq

I’ve had the biggest crush on Raphael Saadiq for the longest time, and used to listen to Tony, Toni, Toné all the time while growing up. When he went solo, this was my favorite song of his. I hope one day to meet him, and try not to fangirl too much on him!

While I wasn’t able to make it to Wondercon this year, I still took some days off from work and it was very relaxing. I’d managed to get a lot organized, and found more scripts to download and read. Today’s for working on my pilot script. I’ve got a bunch of ideas, just got to put them in some sort of order.

What are you guys working on this week?
