Happy Valentine’s Day guys! I know that most of y’all celebrate it everyday– if you even celebrate it at all– but have a great day regardless. In the words of Dan Savage, Fuck first!
This means before you go out to that fancy restaurant or to that show, get all of the boning out in the beginning. Because after that night out, you just may be too tired to bump pelvises.
Anyways, here’s one of my favorites from the late Gerald Levert. Enjoy!
Our house is fully prepared for Christmas, and I’m so happy we were able to pull it off, especially with the last-minute shopping I had to do yesterday after work. One of my favorite things to do is wrap presents. I don’t know why, maybe it’s the excitement I get when someone opens it and is genuinely happy about the gift I got for them. My other favorite thing– besides eating– is seeing all the pretty lights. It’s always put me in a festive mood. Though retail shopping can be very stressful– I try not to let it be for me– I’ve always liked going to the mall and seeing the lights there, and when I’m driving around at night. A smile instantly comes to my face!
I hope you all are warm, well-fed and with those who make you happy. Whichever you celebrate, have a great holiday!
Hey everyone, it’s New Year’s Eve!
2014 has been a great year for me, personally and professionally. I’ve expanded my brand and businesses, met many acting and writing goals, and have formed some cool friendships through social media and my travels.
It’s been an awesome ride, and I can’t wait to see what 2015 has in store for me, and you guys. I’ll be spending the celebration with family at home. Wherever you’ll be, celebrate safely and I’ll catch you in the new year!
Merry Christmas everyone!
I’m taking a break from cleaning and gift-wrapping to wish you guys a happy holiday. Have safe travels and I hope you guys get everything you’d wished for.
This is one of my favorite holidays, as I get to spend it with family, friends and great food. Seriously, I love my grandmother’s cooking. I could only hope to be able to make it when I’m on my own.
I just want to say how thankful I am for all the above mentioned, and you guys! Seriously, I really appreciate every visit, read and comment that I get here and/or on social media. I love the conversations we get into.
Also, I want to give a special thank you to my Brasilian readers! America is 1st but Brasil is 2nd in viewership and I couldn’t be more appreciative!
So I just want to say, “Obrigado por todo o carinho. Eu fico muito feliz!” (I’d gotten help with the translation so please let me know if I didn’t say it right.)
What’s new folks?
I hope everyone enjoyed his or her holiday this past weekend. Mine was spent staycationing with my family at the National Harbor for a night, interviewing a friend for my 1st podcast episode (Yay!!) and having Easter dinner with the rest of our family. And then it was back to work today.
Because of the busy weekend, I had missed AwesomeCon, which was kind of a bummer. I had went for the 1st time last year, and had a lot of fun meeting and chatting with voice actors Billy West and Phil LaMarr. But my best friend, Mansa, had the pleasure to attend this year and had a blast meeting and hanging out with Phil LaMarr, Rob Paulsen, Sean Astin and Cary Elwes.
I’ve been a fan of Cary’s since The Jungle Book so I was happy for him that one of us had the chance to meet and chat with him. Even though he was a douche in the movie—his character—I was smitten with his charming looks and accent. Actually, that’s also how I became a fan of Lena Headey’s. I also wanted to visit India because of that movie. It’s funny the things you remember from your youth =)
I’d really like for him to guest blog here so he can share his experiences firsthand with you guys. Here’s hoping I can sweet-talk him!
For those who have never watched Animaniacs, below is a video of Rob Paulsen—who voices Yakko Warner, Pinky, Dr. Otto von Scratchansniff among others—doing Yakko’s Countries of the World. It’s pretty awesome, enjoy!
