In today’s episode of #thelateness, I give you Goodreads.
I’m leaving for Europe later today (London, Paris, Milan) and I’m super excited! I’ve never been and am going to try to cram as much as I can in 4 days. I also just wanted to post a short post asking, what are you guys reading now? Since I’ve elected to leave my laptop home, I’m going to bring a couple of books with me and my tablet, which is housing about 100 books (I think!). I haven’t decided on which books yet, but they’d have to be mass-market paperbacks to save on space.
I do plan to vlog while I’m there since this is my 1st trip to these countries. And– depending on wifi– I may be snapchatting, so you can also follow me there (murjanian). When you’re traveling, what do you bring with you? Books? Movies? Tablet?
When I get back, I’ll post my 2017 goals list (overdue!) and update you guys on some upcoming trips and stuff.
I’d started this on twitter, and then realized that I really should turn this into a blog post.
Generic black characters… why is this still a thing?
I know, I know. Halloween has passed, but strangely this song was on my mind today so I wanted to share the video. I’ll also admit that when I was a kid, this video used to scare the shit outta me and I couldn’t watch it. Now, I’m ok (I think).
In keeping with my (newly) Monday tradition, I’ve finished reading a book and am starting a new one. So by this Wednesday, I’ll put up a review and my thoughts on Grey, and I’m starting to read The Narrow Road to the Deep North. I hope to have that review up in a couple of weeks, if I like it past the first 2 chapters.
Have a great week guys!
Attention my fellow writers on the East Coast…
Tonight (this morning’s) theme: Love Ballad from LTD. This came out before my time, but I absolutely love this song.
I’ll have to add this to my growing list!
30-Day Writing Challenge
Day 2: A book you love
Oh this one was hard. I’m such a book nerd and it was very hard to narrow down all the books I’ve read to select something. But I did come up with a couple to list.
I’ve been so slow with my reading list lately, but I pledge to get better about it. Right now, I’m reading A Song of Ice and Fire: A Feast for Crows, Showrunners: The Art of Running a TV Show, Hand to Mouth: Living in Bootstrap America, and Gone Girl.
I know I’ve been reading Gone Girl, but I’d hit some boring parts and I briefly put the book down. I know the movie is out and thanks to the Academy Awards, I know a piece of the 3rd act (so thanks for that!). But I’m gonna hang in there and finish it before I see the movie… that’ll be out on cable soon.
So what are you guys currently reading?
