Happy Wednesday guys!

If you’re a regular 9-5 M-F person, your week is almost done so congratulations on making it this far! =) If not, then I guess it’s just Wednesday then? *shrug*

But this is my attempt at getting back into somewhat of a schedule so here goes. I’ve been keeping a planner—like an actual notebook I write in—for a few years now.

(It helps me to remember things if I write them down instead of putting into my phone.)

But in the past years, I haven’t felt very productive when I write things ahead that I plan to do. Things are hardly ever completed on the days I’ve put them down on. And then the thing has to be moved to a new date, whiteout is added, and the whole thing ends up looking sloppy and a mess.

*sigh*

So this year I’ve started something new—I write down all the things I actually did that day instead. I know it’s not a new concept, but it’s an idea I never really ever thought about. So before I go to sleep, I take a minute—when I can remember, lol!—to jot down all that I did. And it could very well be only 1 or 2 things I’ve done. But the point is that they still got done!

This is only the second month of me doing it and I already feel so productive! It’s a little adjustment and it really helps me. So if you’re having some trouble in that area, give it a try! Let me know if it helped you or not.

I’ve also been considering revamping my podcast. If you didn’t even know about it, don’t worry—not too many people did. It’s really because I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with it. I’d started with the intent of it being a writing podcast, but then it evolved into something else? It was really just a side-project I’d started a few years ago to help me get acclimated to speaking in front of a mic as I was, and still am, trying to break into voice acting. I know some pretty creative people and I wanted to share their stories with everyone.

But one of the drawbacks is that at the time, I didn’t know about recording over the phone, or Skype, and I really like to travel to interview people in-person. But schedules don’t always align up, and it’s also hard to do when most of your paycheck has to go to bills and not traveling. And I wasn’t sure how I’d wanted to go about advertising and all the technical stuff that comes along with podcasting.

I’ve been recently surrounded by some pretty awesome creative energy and it’s sparked my joy of it again. So I’d like to really give it a try. Sometime this year, it’ll be off the ground and this time, I’ll make sure everyone hears about it.

I’ve started back at work two weeks ago and it’s been quite an adjustment. Do I wish that I could’ve stayed home longer? Yes. Do I also love having money again? Yes!

Unfortunately that’s the drawback—it’s been such an ordeal dealing with social services and Social Security while I was out that I’m just happy to have a paycheck and money again.

I’m also taking pains to not overdo anything and to take things slow as I can. I can lightly jog now, so I’m happy about that. It’s the little things =) I’ve also dusted off a new notebook and I’m working out some plots that have formed in my head, so I’m super excited to see where they may lead.

What are you guys working on this week?
