30-Day Writing Challenge
Busy weekend you guys, and I’ve gotta spend this week catching up. Luckily my work schedule has eased up this week so I’ll be able to get a lot done. With that said, here we go!
Day 10: Put your music player on shuffle and write the first 10 songs that play
- Give it Up to Me—Sean Paul featuring Keyshia Cole
- Get it Together—702
- Goodnight Moon—Shivaree
- Everlong (acoustic)—Foo Fighters
- Urami Bushi—Meiko Kaji
- One More Chance (remix)—The Notorious B.I.G.
- You Gots To Chill—EPMD
- Loungin’—LL Cool J
- I Want You—Lloyd featuring Lil Wayne
- I Swear—All-4-One
Day 11: You family
I’m not sure what this prompts means—do they want me to name my family, or just describe them? Anyways, I’ll just breeze over them. I have a rather large family, but my immediate family is kinda small. They’re the only ones I interact with often.
- Grandparents (maternal)
- Sister and brother-in-law
- Aunt (granddad’s sister)
- Aunt (my dad’s sister)
- Cousin (more like an uncle)
This is the gist of them. I also have a slew of family friends, cousins and their children, and family from my grandmother’s sisters and my dad’s side.
Day 12: Five guys whom you find attractive
- Takeshi Kaneshiro
- Daniel Henney
- Jason Momoa
- William Levy
- Chris Evans
Day 13: You opinion about your body and how comfortable you are with it
I’m pretty comfortable with my body, but it wasn’t always that way. Granted, I think a lot of kids went through that phrase growing up. And what I know now about hair and skin care I didn’t know back then. Luckily, I’ve had the chance to correct some things. Like, I don’t relax my hair anymore, and haven’t for the past 6 years, I believe. I just got to the end of my rope and told my stylist to make a choice—either cut it all off or go natural. We made the choice to go natural and it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made thus far. I’ll never go back!
I’m also comfortable with showing off parts of my body without being slutty. I have days when I want to be covered up, and I have some days where I want to show off my legs, or my shoulder, or my arms. I’ve also gained a lot of confidence over the years that allows me to be brave and allow parts of me to shine.
Day 14: What you wore today
Kept it real basic since I was doing overnight layout change at work.
- Ugg shoes
- Lounge pants
- Hooded cover-up
